L112: Go-Togethers
The Go-Together material invites children to explore the connections between everyday items and ideas, encouraging them to recognise which objects belong together or share a meaningful relationship. With these cards, children practise pairing things like a toothbrush with toothpaste, or a sun with sunglasses, making logical associations while having fun with matching.
This hands-on activity sparks curiosity and develops critical thinking as children begin to see the many ways items can go together, belong in the same category, or work as a set. Along the way, they’re building logic, expanding vocabulary, and deepening their understanding of the world around them.
Each set includes pairs of picture cards, each representing familiar objects or concepts with a natural connection - think spoon and bowl, socks with shoes, or cup and saucer. The variety of images makes it easy for children to identify relationships and group cards into meaningful pairs.
What’s Included
27 pairs of hand-illustrated Go-Together card pairs
Featuring familiar, logically connected items
A wide variety of relatable images for matching and grouping
Worksheets for pairing objects
Either by drawing a line using counters
How This Activity Supports Learning
Develops logic, association, and early categorisation skills
Builds vocabulary and language confidence
Strengthens visual scanning and figure-ground skills
Inspires curiosity and deeper understanding of everyday relationships
Using the worksheets
To extend the learning, follow up with included worksheets: children are invited to match each object with its pair by drawing a line between them or different placing counters on top. This gentle task builds on figure-ground skills as children scan and select pairs from a group, while also helping to strengthen pincer grip and pencil control for future handwriting. For repeated use, simply laminate the pages and offer a whiteboard marker for tracing and wiping clean.
